Text Editor Options for Social Proof

It customizes notification text with dynamic placeholders, rich formatting, and fallback values. It includes options for truncating text on mobile, adding dynamic or custom images, and translating content as well.

1. Text Input Field

  • Customization: This area allows you to type and format the text that will appear in your notification.
  • Dynamic Placeholders:
    • Use placeholders like {F_NAME}, {L_NAME}, {CITY}, {COUNTRY_FLAG}, and {PRODUCT_NAME} to automatically pull real-time data based on the selected data source.
    • Adjustments to dynamic values vary based on the notification type.
    • Examples:
      • For Sales notifications: Displays the product name (e.g., “John purchased [Product Name]”).
      • For Reviews notifications: Displays the review text and review rating (e.g., “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – John said: [Review Text]”).
      • Custom Fields (Custom1, Custom2, Custom3):
        • Fully utilized when you integrate with a custom webhook or Zapier.
        • Data mapping during setup allows these fields to pull specific values (e.g., “Custom1” for subscription type, “Custom2” for user preferences).

2. Formatting Toolbar

  • Website Font: Ensures your notification text uses the default font of your website.
  • Bold, Italics, Underline: Basic formatting tools for emphasizing text.
  • Dynamic Value Button: Enables you to insert dynamic placeholders for personalization (e.g., {F_NAME}, {CITY}).

3. Media Section

  • Dynamic Image: Use images that update dynamically, such as user profile pictures or product images.
  • Fallback Images: Set priority order for fallback images in case a dynamic image is not available. You can upload multiple options, including icons like:
    • Map pin (location)
    • Gravatar (profile)
    • Flag (country)
    • Custom (icon)
  • Adjust Image Size: A slider or input field to customize the size of the displayed image.

4. Time Ago Display

  • Hide “Time ago” value: Define a threshold (in days) after which the notification should replace the time ago value with static text (e.g., “recently”).
  • Time Singular/Plural Settings:
    • Customize the text for singular and plural time units like minutes, hours, days, and months (e.g., {x} minutes ago or {x} days ago).

5. Fallback Values

  • Show Visitor’s Location as Fallback: If dynamic location data is unavailable, it uses a general fallback (e.g., “somewhere”).
  • Fallback Value for Name: If the user’s name is not available, display a placeholder like “someone.”

6. Trim & Capitalization

  • Capitalize Each Word: Automatically capitalize the first letter of each word in dynamic placeholders.
  • Shorten Names:
    • Shorten first and last names for brevity (e.g., John D.).
    • Trim lengthy usernames if necessary.
  • Show Country Code: Appends the user’s country code to the dynamic text.

7. Language Translation

  • Please select a language from the dropdown to translate notification text dynamically, ensuring it aligns with the visitor’s preferences.

8. Save & Discard Buttons

  • Save: Apply all the changes you’ve made to the notification.
  • Discard: Revert changes to the last saved state.
