Data Control Options for Annoucement Widget

The Data Control section in WiserNotify is a feature that helps manage the behavior of notifications by leveraging historical interaction data. It ensures that users have a non-intrusive experience by skipping already-seen widgets for a set period. Here’s a detailed explanation of this section based on the image:

1. Data History: Skip Seen Widgets

  • Enable it to Skip Seen Widgets:
    • When this option is enabled (checked), the notification will not display again to a visitor who has already seen it within a specified time frame.
    • Purpose:
      • Prevents repetitive notifications.
      • Improves user experience by reducing redundancy.
  • Use Case:
    • A visitor who has already seen a discount notification (e.g., “25% OFF today!”) will not see the same notification again for the set duration.

2. Set Time Duration

  • Time Duration Dropdown:
    • This allows you to set how long the widget will remain “skipped” for a user after they’ve seen it.
    • In the image, the duration is set to 4 hours.
    • Available options often include various time intervals like:
      • 1 hour
      • 4 hours
      • 12 hours
      • 24 hours
    • Purpose:
      • Controls how frequently the same notification is displayed to the same visitor, ensuring it doesn’t overwhelm them.

Important: After making changes, check your notification in a private browser to avoid cache issues.
