How to Add Google Reviews to Weebly (Widget Guide)

Weebly can't pull in Google reviews by itself. There's no built-in widget for it.

What works is a small embed. You connect your Google Business Profile to a review tool, style a widget, and paste its code into Weebly's Embed Code element.

How to Add Google Reviews to Weebly

Budget five minutes. You'll need a WiserReview account (there's a 7-day free trial) and access to the Google account that owns your business listing.

Step 1: Connect Google Business Profile

1. In WiserReview, go to Manage Reviews > Import Reviews.
2. Under 3rd party platforms, find Google and click Integration.
3. Click Login with Google, pick the account that owns your Business Profile, and allow access.

Don't own the listing? Pick Google Place instead and search for the business by name.

Step 2: Check the Connection

1. Find your account under Account details.
2. Make sure the Active toggle is on.
3. Click Add List and pick your business location.

That toggle matters more than it looks. If it's off, old reviews stay but new ones stop syncing.

Step 3: Pick a Review Widget

Open Widgets and click Configure on the one you want.

My pick for most Weebly sites is the Wall of Love. It holds a long list of Google reviews without looking crowded. On a homepage, I'd go with the Carousel, since it takes up less room.

Step 4: Show Only Google Reviews

In Filter Reviews, set the review source to your Google profile. Want only the good ones up top? Sort by rating, but leave a few four-star reviews in. A wall of perfect fives looks staged.

Step 5: Style the Widget

Pick a layout, then copy your Weebly theme's main color into the widget settings. Watch the preview on the right while you tweak. Hit Save when it looks like part of your site.

Step 6: Copy the Embed Code

1. Click Install.
2. Open the Custom tab.
3. Copy the JavaScript code.

Step 7: Open Your Weebly Editor

Log in to Weebly, click Edit Site, and go to the page where the reviews belong.

Step 8: Add an Embed Code Element

1. In the Build tab, drag Embed Code onto the page.
2. Click it and choose Edit Custom HTML.
3. Paste the code.
4. Click Publish.

Don't panic if the box looks empty in the editor. Weebly only runs embedded code on the live site, so check the published page instead.

Add a Google Reviews Badge to Every Page

A badge is the quieter option. It sits in a corner, shows your Google rating, and opens the full list when someone clicks it.

1. In WiserReview, configure the Floating badge widget and filter it to Google reviews.
2. Click Install and copy the code.
3. In Weebly, open Settings > SEO and paste the code into Footer Code.
4. Click Save, then Publish.

Because it lives in the footer code, it shows up on every page at once. No need to add it page by page.

Where to Show Google Reviews on Weebly

I'd put Google reviews wherever people are making up their minds. On most Weebly sites that means:

• near the top of the homepage, so trust lands before the scroll
• under your product descriptions or beside the booking button
• on the contact page, for people who are almost ready to reach out
• on a reviews page of its own, linked from your menu

And keep the widget above the footer on long pages. Reviews buried at the very bottom rarely get read.

Google Reviews Not Showing on Weebly?

Nine times out of ten it's one of these:

• You're checking inside the editor. Publish, then open the live page.
• The code went into a Text element. It has to be an Embed Code element.
• The Google connection is off. Check that it's Active and reviews appear in Manage Reviews.
• The filter's too narrow. Make sure the widget's review source matches your Google profile.
• Your browser cached the old page. Try a private window.

3 Google Review Mistakes on Weebly

Hiding every bad review. Shoppers notice when a business only shows praise. Keep a few critical ones visible and reply to them. A calm reply often sells better than another five-star review.

Piling on too many. Fifty reviews on a service page is noise. Show a handful of the most relevant ones and link to the rest.
