How to Add Google Reviews to Squarespace (2026)

Squarespace doesn’t have a Google reviews block. To show your Google reviews on a Squarespace site, you connect your Google Business Profile to a review tool, build a widget and paste its code into a Code Block.

How to Add Google Reviews to Squarespace

You’ll switch between two screens: the WiserReview dashboard and your Squarespace editor. Start a 7-day free trial, then check two things before step one.

• Your Squarespace plan: Code Blocks only run scripts on the Core, Plus or Advanced plan.
• Google access: you’ll need to sign in with a Google account that manages your Business Profile.

Step 1: Connect Your Google Profile

1. In WiserReview, go to Manage Reviews and click Import Reviews.
2. Under 3rd Party Platforms, find Google and click Integration.
3. Click Login with Google.
4. Sign in with the account that manages your Business Profile.
5. Allow WiserReview to access your Google reviews.

Step 2: Check the Sync Is On

1. Find your profile under Account details.
2. Make sure the Active toggle is on.
3. Leave it on so new Google reviews keep syncing.

Don’t manage the profile yourself? Pick Google Place in the same list, search your business name as it appears on Google Maps, name the connection and click Create.

Step 3: Open the Wall of Love Widget

1. Click Widgets in the left sidebar.
2. Find Wall of Love.
3. Click Configure.

Step 4: Filter to Google and Style It

1. Open Filter Reviews in the left panel.
2. Set the review source to Google.
3. Match the colors, layout and cards to your Squarespace theme.
4. Click Install when the preview looks right.

Step 5: Copy the Squarespace Codes

1. Switch to the Squarespace tab.
2. Copy the pixel code in the first box, unless it’s already on your site.
3. Copy the script in the second box.
4. Keep the widget code in the third box for step 7.

Step 6: Paste Scripts in Code Injection

1. In Squarespace, go to Website, then Pages.
2. Open Custom Code and click Code Injection.
3. Paste the pixel and the script into the Footer field.
4. Click Save.

Step 7: Add a Code Block to the Page

1. Open the page where the reviews should go and click Edit.
2. Add a section, or click Add Block inside an existing one.
3. Choose Code.
4. Set Mode to HTML.
5. Paste the widget code from the third box.
6. Click Save.

Step 8: Publish and Check the Page

1. Open the live page in a private browser window.
2. Check that your reviews load with the Google icon on each card.
3. Look at it on your phone, too.

Where to Show Google Reviews on Squarespace

Google reviews do the most work where people decide to call, book or buy. A wall at the bottom of the About page rarely gets seen.

• Below the homepage hero: new visitors see proof before they scroll away.
• Next to the booking or quote button: on service pages, put a short carousel right beside the action.
• On the contact page: a few recent reviews make the form feel less of a gamble.

Squarespace checkout pages don’t accept custom code, so keep the widget on pages before checkout.

Google Reviews Not Showing on Squarespace?

Most blank widgets come down to one of these.

• Basic plan: Squarespace only runs JavaScript in Code Blocks on Core, Plus and Advanced, so the code does nothing on Basic.
• Wrong Code Block mode: if Mode is set to CSS or JavaScript, Squarespace prints the code as text. Switch it to HTML.
• Pixel missing: the widget code needs the pixel and script in the Code Injection footer. Check they saved.
• Sync switched off: if the Active toggle is off, no Google reviews reach the widget.
• Filtered out: a rating or source filter can hide everything. Clear the filters, then add them back one by one.
