Data Control Options for Timer Widget

The Data Control section allows you to manage how the widget or countdown timer interacts with users who have already seen it. This feature is useful for controlling widget visibility and ensuring a smooth user experience without overwhelming or annoying visitors. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the available options:

1. Data History

  • Enable to Skip Seen Widgets:
    • When enabled, the widget will not be displayed again to users who have already interacted with or seen it within a specified time frame.
    • Purpose:
      • Prevents overexposure to the same widget, reducing user fatigue.
      • Ensures widgets are only shown to new or eligible users.

2. Set Time Duration

  • Dropdown to Select Time Duration:
    • Allows you to specify how long the system should remember that a user has seen the widget.
    • Common Options:
      • 1 Hour: The widget will reappear after 1 hour for the same user.
      • 1 Day: The widget will reappear after 24 hours.
      • Custom Duration: You may have additional durations based on your needs (e.g., 7 days, 30 minutes, etc.).
    • Purpose:
      • Enables you to control the frequency of widget appearances for the same user.
      • For example, during a flash sale, you might set the duration to 1 hour to remind users periodically. For a long-term campaign, you might choose 1 day or longer.

Important: After making changes, check your notification in a private browser to avoid cache issues.
