Data Control Options for Social Proof

The Data Control section in the WiserNotify “Social Proof ” notification Design configuration provides options to manage how data is displayed in your notifications. This allows you to control the relevance, timing, and volume of the information shown to your website visitors. Here’s a detailed explanation of each setting:

1. Data History

  • Display Last [X] Day Data:
    • Define the time range for the data to be included in notifications.
    • Example: If set to 30 days, the notifications will only show data from the last 30 days.
  • Use Case: This is useful if you want to highlight recent activity rather than older actions to maintain relevance.

2. Display Last [X] Records

  • Specify the maximum number of records to be shown in the notification.
  • Example: If set to 10, only the most recent 10 records will be displayed.
  • Use Case: Limits the amount of data to keep notifications concise and prevents overwhelming your visitors with too much information.

3. Skip Seen Data

  • If enabled, notifications that a visitor has already seen will not be shown again during their current session.
  • Use Case: Prevents redundancy, improving user experience by avoiding repetitive notifications.

4. Set Time Duration

  • Choose how frequently new notifications should appear.
  • Example: If set to 1 hour, notifications for the same data will not reappear within that hour.
  • Use Case: Useful for managing the pace of notifications, especially on high-traffic sites, to prevent overwhelming visitors.

5. Set Max Data Limit to Display into Notification Per Page

  • Options:
    • Select “All” to display all qualifying data across different notifications.
    • Choose a specific number to limit the data shown on each page or section.
  • Use Case: Ensures that the notifications remain contextually relevant to the page or section the visitor is viewing.

Important: After making changes, check your notification in a private browser to avoid cache issues.
