Click Action Options for Social Proof

The Click Actions section in the WiserNotify Design section allows you to define interactive behavior for notifications, especially for Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons. Here is a detailed explanation of each option available under this section:

1. Button & Link Name

  • Allows you to customize the text that appears on the notification button.
  • Example: Set the text to “Purchase Now,” “Learn More,” or “Sign Up.”
  • Best Practice: Use concise, action-oriented language to encourage user interaction.

2. Font-family & Font-weight

  • Font family: Choose the font style for your button text.
    • Options include:
      • Website Font (matches your website’s default font)
      • Popular fonts like Arial, Roboto, etc.
  • Font-weight: Adjust the boldness of the button text (e.g., Normal, Bold).
  • Why it matters: Keeping consistent fonts improves the visual appeal and trust of the notification.

3. Background Color & Text Color

  • What it does: Allows you to set the button background color and text color.
  • How to use:
    • Click the color box to open a color picker tool.
    • Use website brand colors to keep the button aligned with your overall design.
  • Example: White background with black text, or blue background with white text for better visibility.

4. Choose Link

  • Purpose: Specify the action when users click on the CTA button.
  • Options:
    1. Redirect to custom URL
      • Input any link to redirect the user upon clicking.
      • Ideal for linking to a product page, landing page, or form.
    2. No action
      • Keep the button non-clickable. It is useful if you don’t want users redirected.
  • Add UTM:
    • Use this option to add UTM parameters for tracking link performance in tools like Google Analytics.
    • Example: ?utm_source=wiserNotify&utm_medium=cta&utm_campaign=sales-counter.

5. Open in the Same Tab

  • What it does: Enables or disables opening the link in the same browser tab.
  • When to enable:
    • If the user should stay on the same browser window (e.g., internal links).
  • When to disable:
    • For external links, it opens in a new tab without leaving your website.

6. Close Icon

  • What it does: Adds a close (X) icon to the notification so users can dismiss it.
  • Why it matters:
    • Giving users control enhances the user experience.
    • By default, the option is enabled for user convenience.

7. Notification Clickable

  • What it does: Makes the entire notification clickable instead of just the button.
  • When to use:
    • If you want to increase click-through rates by making the notification fully interactive.
    • It is useful for simple notifications without additional buttons.

Important: After making changes, check your notification in a private browser to avoid cache issues.
